Query by : If I moved out on my personal really should I get an apartment or home?
I was reading on-line about moving out for the 1st time and being independent. They all say “Rent” and “Apartment” I was questioning why? I’ve noticed homes listed that their monthly cost is significantly more affordable than the average rent price.
What’s that catch?
(This’s all just curiosity given that I’m not moving away any time soon)

The reason they say ‘apartment’ is because the articles are written with one person moving in mind, I guess.
The only differences I can think about an apartment and a house are:
*You may not need to pay for water or possibly some other bills in an apartment where neighbouring apartments share plumbing, etc
*Houses generally have lawns and it could quite possibly be your responsibility to keep it mowed
*In an apartment I once lived in we put our rubbish in the big bins, but someone was hired to take the bins out to the street on bin night; we never needed to
I still prefer living in a house though
It’s nice to have your own space. Only problem is bad housemates!
First of all, it is the location- city centre, suburbs, country side, business area, tourists area, university surroundings… Because of the location the prices change, you can find a cheap massive house in the countryside and a tiny apartment in the city centre for the same price.
Secondly, do keep in mind that even though a house might be cheaper its maintenance fees will be much higher plus the energy you yourself will have to invest in the property, its cleaning and maintaining.
As your first place on your own an apartment definetely is a better choice.

If you are living in your family home now, and are the guy or gal who mows the grass, waters the flowers, cleans the garage, and other homey stuff, then you should look for a house. If not, look at apartments.
