I saw this being held by the westboro baptist church. I can get past all their other homophobic signes, but this sign just makes me so angry i want to get shirley phelps and give her aids. And see how she likes it. If somebody held a gun to my head and told me to do one particular evil thing, that’s what i would do. I would cut shirley phelps’ arm and put some AIDS blood in there. I do not think it must be against the law to hold this sign, i think in freedom of speech, and that indicates i can voice my own anger freely as nicely. As terrible as this is she should be allowed to say it.

The Westboro baptist Church – from what I have seen – is nothing more than a cult. While I am a Christian and believe in street preaching, what they do is wrong. The sign you speak of indeed I don’t like. I do not condone Sodomy, but thanking God for AIDS is not the answer. This “church” actually pickets the funerals of US soldiers. I’m sorry, but that is what really gets me angry more than anything else I can think of that they do. Our soldiers don’t give their lives so their funerals ca be picketed.
it makes me just as angry as you. but good thing you’re nothing like them. people like them eventually get back what they give (which is nothing but animosity and negativity). and of course when they get that, they’ll blame it on something that has nothing to do with them as well. people like this should be shot. i think you worded your opinion perfectly.
I can see why they are against homosexuality, but I think that the AIDS poster is just a bit too much.
